I've been marinating in the effects of gratitude lately. Peace, Love, Joy, Serenity, Shalom. These flood in when we focus our hearts and minds on what we are thankful for in our lives. We can always find something. Even in the most stressful situations, in sorrow, in hardships, in difficult seasons- something that causes gratitude to well up is worthy of attention. I had this thought today- if what we seek is peace and joy in our lives (especially as we enter the Holiday season), then we must be active in deciding on what we think upon. Gratitude always proves worthy.
I read this today & my heart welled up with deep thankfulness:
"I am convinced that neither death nor life, angels nor demons, the present nor the future nor anything else in all creation will be able to seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-9
We hope that the beginning of your Holiday Season is peaceful and stays that way.......
